Biofelt Green Wall
GEOTEX SYSTEM::
This is the usual system in vertical gardening. Conceived by French botanist, Patrick Blanc, in the early 90s, it has been improving since then.
The Geotex vertical gardening system consists of a structural metal frame holding 10mm thick PVC panels; these panels perform as wall waterproofing and rooting substrate bearers. Geotextile polyamide felt layers, each 3 mm thick, are fastened to the panels to form the planting substrate of the ornamental species.
The fertigation system is integrated between the geotextile layers. Among the different vertical gardening systems we install this one presents a higher water consumption and a lower autonomy in case of supply cuts.
Spacing in this system depends on the size of the container where the different species are served although the average is about 25 plants per m².
Bio felt planters are made of recycled PET plastic and are UV stabilized with medium compression and wicking action features. This needle punched nylon textile of 220 GSM has high strength and can withstand all weathers for more than 20years.
